Formula Feeding Must Haves

One thing about formula is that it comes in a big can, and that’s great if your at home but with errands, traveling, or if someone is babysitting it’s nice to have anything that helps things run more smoothly. Below is a list of helpful items such as a container that holds pre measured formula for easy feeding. Other items offer convince for on the go feeding and bottle cleaning. Also no one can go wrong with gifting a can of their preferred type of formula.

Combo Feeding Essentials

When I look back at my combo feeding journey I wish I knew a few things. You need to chose specific bottles that support baby latching to both breast and bottle so you can go back and forth. The way you bottle feed baby and position them while feeding is important so they don’t get gas or colicky. Also they spit up a lot and need to be burped in-between feeds because of the two different types of milk they are getting their tummies may need a little extra help getting that burp out. I like to get white muslin burp cloths. I feel they hold up nicely in the wash and with them being white you can look at the spit up and notice if its an off color or if there is mucus. Below are all types of items that I used and loved or wish I had and I know would have made life easier.

Gifts For Pumping Moms

Pumping can feel like a whole other job within its self. Moms who do so need to keep a schedule and fuel their body. Items like quick snacks, milk storage bags, freezer origination, and nipple cream are all items that moms would use on a regular basis. If you want to buy something small or go big and get something super useful like a hands free breast pump, this list will include many options.

I would also like to note that helping out a new family is not always about buying a gift. I know gift giving is my type of love language so I love to make a good gift basket, however spending money is not always the way to go. I cannot tell you how much I would have loved someone dropping off dinner at my home. Having someone offer to clean my living room, or wash my dishes. Things like vacuuming, taking the dog for a walk, cleaning the shower are all physically hard for a post partum moms to do. Unfortunately few new moms get a good set up when it comes to maternity leave, have a husband who can be home with them or a village to help fill in the gaps in this crazy new and unfamiliar season of life. I hope this list of new mom gift ideas was helpful. This season of life should be celebrated and there are many ways to do so. Thanks for stopping bye my little corner of the internet!
